Dr Janet Lawrence is a  Registered Nurse and a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing (formerly known as the Royal College of Nursing) since 1987. Over 40 years she has gained both national and international experience in nursing and has obtained further qualifications in her field of expertise – aged care and education.

From her experiences in Nursing, she developed a passion for raising the Standards of Care in Aged Care. She dedicated her professional career at a very early age between acute nursing and aged care nursing, ensuring that the elderly in care are treated with respect, dignity, given choices and receive safe care. Through her passion and interest in aged care she worked as:

She is currently a CEO / Director of Studies  delivering courses in the areas of Aged Care, Nursing, Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, Business and more. Furthermore, since 1996 she has been an Independent Aged Care Nurse Consultant, Nurse Educator​ and is also an Aged Care Expert Witness.

Bruce Craike has more than 37 years’ experience in the residential aged care sector. He is genuinely driven in his desire to support and facilitate the provision of high-quality care environments for vulnerable people in our society who rely on the support of disability and aged care services. Bruce was initially recruited into the care sector for his demonstrated exceptional leadership and managerial skills.

In order to fulfil his passion to continue working in aged care, Bruce established NHCM Pty Ltd; an aged care management company which specialises in all areas of residential care; from design and construction through to operational imperatives such as human resourcing and financial planning. NHCM has provided services to the private sector and not for profit sector (church and charitable organisations) in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. These facilities have varied in their capacity, from caring for 20 residents up to 178 residents. His company has been involved in the establishment of more than 10 new facilities. The latest facility supports 240 residents in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Bruce is currently focusing on industry enterprise agreements negotiations with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) and the Health Services Union (HSU). He is also interested in aged care worker recruitment and workforce development in relation to care worker educational standards to improve quality and safety within the residential care sector.

Dr Devi Ranasinghe is an experienced Principal Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in the Aged Care industry. Skilled in Coaching, Quality Management, Facilitation, Management, and Continuous Improvement. Strong education professional with a Clinical Fellow focused in Clinical Risk Management from Joanna Briggs Institute.

I work at the fertile intersection of educational design, teaching, and research. My passion is utilising the modalities and new affordances of digital technology to address contemporary problems in education. I have developed and managed blended and online subjects, software projects, and LMS systems at scale. My master’s and doctoral degree in digital humanities (history) brings a rigorous, evidence-based, qualitative research perspective to my work and my post-doctoral employment brings significant experience in teaching, digital resource development, and curriculum design. Throughout my career, I have pursued a parallel approach where I undertake hands-on, applied work (using the tools) while also doing traditional, critical work (using the books). I have highly developed skills in:

1) Teaching and blended and online learning and pedagogy

Anthony Joseph “Tony” De Domenico, OAM (born 29 December 1950) is an Australian politician and was a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly elected to the multi-member single constituency Assembly and later elected to represent the multi-member electorate of Brindabella for the Liberal Party. De Domenico was initially elected the second ACT Legislative Assembly in 1992 and elected to represent Brindabella in the Assembly in 1995 general election. De Domenico resigned from the Assembly on 30 January 1997 to take up a position in the private sector and, during his parliamentary career, served as Deputy Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory, Minister for Industrial Relations, Minister for Urban Services and Deputy Leader of the Opposition.
Between 2000 and 2003, De Domenico was based in Milan, Italy, as a trade commissioner; and since 2004, has been Executive Director of the Victorian Division of the Urban Development Institute of Australia.[3] Before his election, De Domenico was President of the Canberra Chamber of Commerce.

Mohamed serves as an IT Consultant and Administrator of Australian College of Care Workers. He has been working with us since the start of our organisation, overseeing IT Infrastructure, including websites, domain, emails, server management and providing IT support.

Mohamed joined Australian College of Care Workers in 2016 to lead and manage IT, development of the care workers website and membership portal.

Prior to Australian College of Care Workers, Mohamed  held senior a position as IT Executive Disaster Recovery and Database Administrator at Ooordeoo Telecom Company. He also worked as a Staff Sergeant in IT Department of Maldives Police Services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.
